P/// Piras Motorsport brake cooling kit Toyota GR Yaris
Product detailed description
DESCRIPTION
The GR Yaris Brake system is a very competent one from factory, but tracking the car frequently can test even the best of road car systems, and this is no exception.
While temperatures do get hot with the standard OEM brake pads, things start getting out of hand when you install aftermarket, high friction brake pads. This translates in many issues, among which caliper paint fading and rubber dust boots melting, that can be catastrophic...
Given that the wheel well’s packaging is very tight, installation of tubes funnelling the air from the front bumper’s cooling intakes isn’t a solution, as there is too much pressure drop.
We set out to design a simple and efficient system of air deflectors, that intercept the air flowing underbody (just like on Porsche GT3 RS and many other supercars), and directs it directly to the center of each front brake disc. This setup allows for a cleaner installation, no clutter in the wheel wells and is maintenance free.
The application results in massively reduced brake temperatures, and you will be able to continue pushing with confidence, session after session.

Adriano James PIRAS
After taking a BA in Economics and working at Alfa Romeo in global sales, then in corporate consulting, I decided to risk everything and set out to find my path as a rally car driver. With fewer sponsors than needed, I still managed to race in various Italian and European races, up to the Rally of Sanremo 2007, where I won all GT categories driving a Porsche Cayman Rally GT car. From there, I was invited in Prodrive to join as works driver in the WRC-2 championship driving Subaru, as they would have covered half the costs, but I didn’t reach my side of the financial budget.
I continued driving in both rally and circuit cars mainly for suspension development, working with Bilstein partners and many other brands in tuning suspension and whole car development, that was also carried out in my own avantgarde tuning workshop based in Milan, called AJPerformance.
I spent the last 12 years in general management of corporate engineering companies, working with the most prestigious OEM's on the development of road, race and few-off cars, helping initiate and support the technical development of some of the best vehicles currently built across Europe.
